10 Months

I'm not sure what happened to the last month...I feel like Kayla just turned 9 months old. In fact, just the other day when someone asked me how old Kayla was I quickly responded, "9 months". Then I stopped for a second and realized she was only 3 days away from turning 10 months old. Before I know it she'll be turning 1. I'm definitely not ready for that. I wish I could freeze time for a bit and keep my baby a baby!

Kayla proved to me that I can't do that...she stood up all on her very own today - her 10 month birthday!!! I'm glad she decided to wait until the weekend to show off her new skills so Daddy and I could be here! We were playing on the floor when all of a sudden she let go of me. She stood there for about 6 seconds before falling on her bottom. The entire time Kent and I watched in amazement. Kayla probably thought we were crazy because we were so excited. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to grab the camera and mark the occasion. She did it once more a little later but we still haven't been able to get a picture of her in action. I'll be keeping my camera close by so hopefully I'll get one soon!

We were flipping through the channels and Barney came on. I pointed it out to Kayla and she quickly pulled herself up to the TV and started watching.

Look who decided to use her bumper as a pillow...looks pretty comfortable to me!
