Girls Weekend

Kayla and Mommy had a "Girls Weekend" while Daddy went to New Orleans for a couple days. We missed Daddy but had so much fun together. Friday night we had dinner with Aunt Cait and talked about girl things, of course. Aunt Cait is pretty fun :)

Saturday morning Kayla had her first official class at the Little Gym (it was actually her 2nd - we did a free trial class a couple weekends ago then decided to sign up for the Fall semester). It was great to see Kayla playing with other kids and trying new things. I could already see her improvement from the "trial" class. The 1st time we went the lady brought out some balls and the kids all went to get them but Kayla sat back and didn't know what to think. This time; however, Kayla got so excited when she brought the balls out and went racing over to get as many as she could. She even threw the balls to other people (guess she decided to skip the "rolling" part). Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures but I hope to get some at one of her next classes.

Saturday afternoon we went to lunch then headed over to Sammie's 2nd birthday! Kayla had a great time swimming and playing with all of her friends. Again, Mommy forgot her camera...

Sunday morning we decided to do some shopping so we made a trip to Target and came home with quite a few more things than planned but isn't that always the case?!

Here are a few pictures from our weekend together...

Where is Kayla???

There she is!!

Enjoying lunch with Mommy

Kayla loves to do "forward rolls" aka summersalts. If you say "forward roll" she will put her hands and head down like this then wait for you to flip her over. She'll even do this randomly without you saying anything. We typically do at least 10 foroward rolls a day. It's so funny!

Here comes trouble...

Kayla is on the move (with a little assistance, of course)

So determined!

Hi Mommy! Can you please help me get back on the sidewalk?

A little girl never leaves home without her purse. Kayla loves purses and puts them on her shoulder all on her own. I guess they really are watching everything we do.

So proud of herself (so are Mommy and Daddy)

Catching up....

When I logged in to update the blog, I couldn't believe it had been almost 2 months since my last entry. I guess we've been busy. Since it has been so long, I think I'll just let the pictures do the talking....
