September 3, 2009 - Day OneToday was Kayla's 1st birthday! It's hard to believe that it has already been a year since we were blessed with this healthy baby girl. We are overwhelmed with how much joy she has brought to our lives each and every day and couldn't imagine our lives without her.
Being able to see her learn and grow so much has been amazing. Here are just a few of the things she's up to these days:
- Favorite word to say is "Dadda"
- Favorite food is cheese but also likes watermellon, peaches, green beans, and eggs.
- Wants nothing to do with baby food - only likes things she can pick up in her fingers
- Loves to do forward rolls
- Starting to walk - uses her walker or holds on to our hands but she is getting better every day!
- Waves hi and bye
- Loves to dance - if the music is on this girl is dancing!
- Loves splashing Mommy and Daddy in the bathtub
- Gives high fives and claps her hands
- Likes to throw her diapers in the trash
- Mostly down to one nap a day but will sometimes take a second shorter nap, especially if we're in the car
- Loves going to the Children's Museum, the Little Gym, and storytime at the libraries
September 3, 2010 - One year later...I'll check back soon and post pics from all of the weekend festivities!

So fun! Happy birthday pretty girl. I can't believe our girls are growing up so fast. Love the fancy birthday outfit--she is adorable.
Thanks! Watch out...Kate will be celebrating her big birthday before you know it :) Would love to get the little ones together again sometime soon!
