I'm sure you are thinking college basketball by the title of this post and the fact that Kayla is wearing a UK (University of Kentucky) hoodie in support of Gramps' alma mater, but I'm actually referring to our life this past month... What a busy but FUN month it has been!
Here are some pics from earlier in the month....
Silly girl....you're not supposed to eat your bib
Look who's holding herself up all on her very own! Mommy's not ready for this!
Kent's dad's birthday falls on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) so we went over to his parent's house that evening for dinner with the entire family (except for Uncle Matt who lives in Dallas). Look at all the fun you missed, Uncle Matt...
Later that week, Kayla and I headed up to Spring to get together with four friends from my old soccer team, Challenge 81-82. We had such a wonderful time meeting all the new little babies and catching up with everyone. It's hard to believe we are all moms now...Can't wait to get together with everyone again!!!

Jessica and Colt, Melissa and Carter, Kristen and Kayla, Sarah and Matthew, and Kristen and Kate
Here's Melissa feeding Carter, the soon-to-be 1 year old
Sarah and Matthew (such a cutie)Kayla and Kate checking each other out

Here's Colt (the oldest one in the group) showing off his clapping skills.
Kayla liked Kate's flower!
Group Shot with Tim (our coach) and Pat (our trainer)
Oddly enough, the very next night I had my alumni game/7v7 tourny at Rice. All I can say about that is....ouch! I quickly realized that I am nowhere close to being in the shape I used to be. I pretty much knew that going into it but now I KNOW it. Other than trying to catch my breath the entire time, it was a blast. Luckily, I get to see some of these girls at our monthly dinners, but it was nice to get everyone together as we tried to relive the glory days...
Our fans...Kayla with Gigi and Gramps
Kayla came down to the field to meet everyone...who knows, maybe she'll be playing on this field in another 20 years!
Kayla and I have missed Aunt Ashley. She keeps busy coaching and teaching High School so we were excited that she could make it!
Kayla loving on Aunt Ashley
And last, but not least, Kent and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary this month. Gigi and Gramps graciously babysat Kayla for us so we could enjoy a nice dinner at Mark's (yum!). When we went to pick her up the next day, Kayla surprised us with a wonderful scrapbook that she had made for us (thanks to Gigi for helping her put it together).
